To define which digital aerial offers the best TV reception for your situation, first and most important to know is your location, as the distance from the nearest transmitter will determine the type of aerial you need.
There are three options to choose from: an indoor, outdoor and loft aerials. How to choose?
Indoor aerials
If you live within a 15 miles radius of the nearest transmitter, we recommend to use an indoor aerial for optimal reception, this type of aerial is definitely easier to install as you don’t have to mount it. Do always check specifications to see the exact reach of each indoor aerial as there are aerials with a reach of 3 miles, 9 miles and 15 miles.

Outdoor aerials
If you live in a 15 to 30 miles radius of the nearest transmitter, you should use an outdoor aerial for crystal clear reception. Do always check individual product specifications as reach may differ from 15 miles up to 30 miles.

Loft aerials

Placing an aerial in the loft seems like a logical option: it does not interfere with your interior, however, it is important to ensure that the aerial is positioned correctly, and at the right height.
Please note that loft aerials are not recommended for use with a metal roof.

Amplified vs. non-amplified aerials
Whether you need an amplified or non-amplified aerial depends on the area you live in. If you live in an area near a transmitter with little interference, a non-amplified aerial will do. However, when living further than 3 miles away from the nearest transmitter or in areas with a lot of signal disturbance caused by Wi-Fi or mobile phones, then an amplified aerial is the best option for you
LTE interference
The mobile telephone networks 4G/LTE partly use the same bandwidth as DVB-T and therefore might create interference that dilutes the clearness of the signal.
